Event Description & Services
For over 25 years, Herbalife has been changing people’s lives. On April 16, 2005, Atlanta Arrangements, Inc. helped Herbalife celebrate its 25th anniversary with a first class silver anniversary dinner in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park.
As guests of Herbalife enjoyed a beautiful spring night in Centennial Olympic Park, they were served an exquisitely prepared dinner around Centennial Park’s Fountain of Rings. The Fountain of Rings is the world's largest interactive fountain utilizing the Olympic symbol of five interconnecting Rings.
Guests entered the “Silver Service” dinner at beautiful Centennial Olympic Park while searchlights pierced the sky, announcing to the city that Herbalife was in town. The silver service treatment began as formally dressed wait staff passed champagne to arriving guests as they walked down the red carpet entry. On either side of the red carpet, guests were greeted by turning and twirling hourglass divas. These dazzling white ethereal figures added grace and beauty to the setting.
This memorable outdoor dining experience was complemented by beautifully dressed guest tables dressed to the floor in platinum satin linen, appointed with black napkins and surrounded by silver chivari chairs with black cushions. The tables were centered by glass cylinders with white calla lilies nestled in white hydrangea set atop of a round silver riser. The cavities of the calla lilies were illuminated from the interior by individual icy blue lithium lights casting a festive glow on the tables. Silver beaded necklaces and silver star glitter wands were placed on guests’ chairs so they could join in on the silver celebration!
Performing on stage was a talented four-piece Jazz Band that played sophisticated background music throughout this first class dinner event! The evening concluded with a special presentation of the Centennial Park fountain show. Guests experienced the beauty of the Fountain of Rings with a dancing water show synchronized to popular music, sound effects and lights.
At the end of the evening, cyber ambassadors, Robo-Stilt characters, surprised guests by entering the event to escort guests over to an after party located on the North side of Centennial Park. The Robo-Stilts wore futuristic silver chrome helmets and silver body suits. These characters delighted and surprised everyone!
AAI Responsibilities
As the Destination Management Company chosen to coordinate this event our responsibilities included all aspects of preplanning, execution and post program logistics and accounting.
Client’s Goals & Objectives
Our client’s main goal was to treat international guests to a silver anniversary celebration in downtown Atlanta. The client wanted to emphasize the silver anniversary theme in an upscale way. By utilizing silver décor elements such as platinum linens, white flowers on silver stands, silver chivari chairs, a white stage backdrop with silver columns and characters dressed in white costumes.
Event Challenges
Our biggest challenge in executing this event was that the event was originally planned for 800 guests. At 4:00 pm, the day prior to the event the client called to increase the guest count by 1,050 people. We immediately sprang into action and began planning for an additional 1,050 guests. We called the caterer to ensure that they could provide food and service for the additional guests, we talked to the decorator about comparable linen, floral and chair options that could be intermixed with the original design to create the first class silver anniversary setting. We logistically altered our lay out of the event to accommodate 100 additional guest tables and 1,000 additional guest chairs and we even ordered additional restroom trailers and heating units to accommodate the growing number of guests during the event. In less than 24 hours, we successfully planned a beautiful first class silver service dinner for 1,850 guests that went off without a hitch!
